The students will undergo course programmes which include extensive lectures and training. The course will make the students to understand the basic working of computers on both hardware and software besides rigorous training in design and maintenance of computer software systems. Also they use their training skills to analyse design programmes to enhance system performance, reliability and software reuse in timely and most efficient manner. The department has an active association with the name "Kerberoz" which conducts talks by eminent personalities and grand technical fest named "Ektha" - Core of Talents .Students are encouraged to participate in the National / International Level Workshops, Seminars, Festivals, Conferences, Paper presentations, etc.
The Department provides extensive computing resources for education and research. It houses hardware and assembly laboratories, programming lab, advanced programming lab, project lab, internet and seminar hall with latest audio and visual equipments. It also has a Department Library housing many books and journals to cater to the needs of faculty and students.
