"CRACE", the Civil Engineering Association was formally inaugurated by Architect Sri. Niranjan Das Sharma on April 11, 2017. The Civil Engineering Association has organized an expert talk on the topic “New Styles in Construction” and also a demonstration session on Revit software with the support of InterCAD. As a part of the Inter-College Tech fest 'Sthapathya 2017’, many events such as Survey Hunt, Technical Quiz, Reinforced Earth construction, CAD competition, Brick bond modeling competition, Stick and Straw Bridge construction etc were organized by the association. The exhibition in connection with Tech fest was a grand success with presentation of various working models by our students, the major highlights were Suspension Bridge, U Boot Technology, Home-made Concrete mixer, Bascule Bridge etc.
The Association also a launched a charity programme under CRACE Charity Foundation, which was inaugurated by the master mentalist Aadhi. The department gave financial support to two orphanages as a part of this program and students interacted with the people who suffer and gave a relief to their sorrows.
